Terry Pettengill, Facilitator, Specializes in Strategy in Conflicted Situations
Over the past 25 years Terry Pettengill’s experience has focused on strategic planning where clients have been experiencing some level of difficulty. His specialty is designing and leading planning when a firm is faced with, for example, interpersonal, departmental or generational disagreement.
Over these years Terry has authored the Oculus Management Process to regenerate the insight and foresight needed to get teams back on track. This unique approach focuses on three elements of firm planning: Strategy Planning, Innovation, Communication
The Process raises strategic planning to a level at which all participants can clearly see their contribution and benefit from rigorously pursuing shared values, vision and goals. It introduces a new way of communicating that clears up old conflicts. It puts teams into the heightened level of harmony necessary to create the innovations needed to meet the company’s future.
Companies in both service and manufacturing industries, large and small, have used the Oculus Process to resolve conflict and achieve top performance. Some examples include:
Financial Services New York Stock Exchange, State Street Global Advisors, J.P. Morgan Chase, European Commdities Exchange; Professional Services Ernst & Young LLP, Morrison Foester Law, Deloitte & Touch LLP, Kadium/EuroRSCG Interactive Advertising, S.R. Travel, Oakland Raiders;
Technology/Industrial Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, Thorn EMI, U.K., Genentech, Flextronics, Emery Worldwide, Chevron.
Terry attended several Midwestern universities, was an officer in the U.S. Army and is active in educational, industry and community service.
